An individual version of our large marzipan torte. We bake 3 layers of cake which alternate between yellow and chocolate. Each layer is filled filled with our German marzipan (almond) buttercream. The whole pastry is patted with toasted almonds for a taste not to be missed. Marzipan is Germany's national candy and is made with ground blanched almonds sweetened into a paste with sugar and honey. We add this confection to our European buttercream.
This torte is garnished with a chocolate dipped almond.
